So, first and foremost. This week I’ll be working at New York Comic Con in NYC. I’ll be at the Fanboy Collectibles booth 2937 (and selling some artwork as well.)

Also, I have my first game going through kickstarter right now. Day one and we’re already moving along toward our goal. Deathbot Derby on Kickstarter.

While I could go into all the fine details on the game, and how fun it was to make the artwork for it, you’re better off just clicking the link and checking out the reviews we’ve gotten on it as well as seeing all the ins and outs of the game itself.
It’s a lot of game in a little box, and it’s fun.
If you cant help fund it, please share the link as that gets it seen by more people who may very well be interested in turning their friend’s robots into scrap.

Last but not least, just got my copy of Caustic Comics Insane Tales From The Dead featuring my piece EveVI. There is a lot of cool stuff in this book and the print quality on it is excellent. Proud to be a part of it.

If you want to order your copy, go to www.InsaneTalesFromTheDead.com while supplies last as there are a number of limited edition covers for this book.

That’s all the updates for now. See you at NYCC, and will be working on some more cool projects on twitch after this event is over. www.Twitch.TV/JamesGroelingArt

While I realize I should have added this post pre-NYCC, I simply didnt have time. So, here’s a post convention wrap up.

Firstly, This past year has been amazing, and intense, thus the complete lack of updates for so long. As of the moment, I dont have a functional scanner at home and havent had a chance to look into the details of picking up a new one. So scanning new work in has been a bit difficult. Will be rectifying that by picking up a new one either in late October, or at the latest, mid November.

Now, NYCC was a blast. Got to meet a lot of amazing people, some great cosplays, cool fellow exhibitors, and all around a lot of passionate fans. Worked the Fanboy Collectibles booth, for the second year in a row. Some of my favorite people were in that booth with me all week as well. Fortunately I was also able to put up a sign and a portfolio with a number of prints of my artwork, that way while working in the booth I could also make some new fans as well as get some great artwork out there.

To the cos-players I met and took pics of, all of the photos will be uploaded to a public folder on my facebook feed, NYCC2015 FB Album is the link if you’d like to see your pics (will be uploading last of it by Wednesday.

wins on all accounts.

The star seller of what I brought with me this year, was my very recent Harley piece. Its a portrait of a lovely cos-player friend of mine as one of the characters she cos-plays. Fun piece to work on and play with, and cant wait for the next one.

Note: I will be posting prints for purchase on my store in about two weeks, once I have time to go through my inventory and see what’s still available. In the meantime, if you are interested in ordering one of these, and dont want to have to check back, send me an email regarding which you are interested in, and I’ll send you the order link once it’s available. Thanks,

JG.

Without further ado, here’s Harley and some friends (all availble as print)

This year for the NYCC I was asked to work for the company Fanboy Collectibles (booth 2314). The owner, Troy Emmi, was also nice enough to let me put my portfolio up on the counter, with business cards, and prints for sale. Fortunately, I was able to not only work hard making money for his company, but also was able to sell a number of prints to make some extra money for myself.

Here are the two images that were available for sale at the convention. If interested in one, I do have a few of each print left over, send an email and we can work it out.

IamtheNight

I am the Night

Batman looks out over Gotham city from his perch, the gargoyles of the building as his only company. Went with a bit more of a cartoonish looking goofy Batman. Reasons being that first and foremost, I’ve been in need of some playful artwork recently after a number of intensive images for various projects, and secondly, because I have another idea for a Batman piece, which will be very dark in nature and creation, so an opposing image type is a benefit to create first.

Guardians

Not only did I want to try a different approach to my image making process for this one, but I also wanted a detailed, but joyous looking character(s), hopefully I’ve been successful in this approach. Would like to think so, as this is the image that sold most at the NYCC
